I’m a bit late with this post, and I apologize for that. Enjoy my author interview for The {Teen} Book Scene’s blog tour for One Moment by Kristina McBride!
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Proud Book Nerd: What is your ideal writing environment?
Kristina McBride: Any place that is quiet. Two little ones, a husband, and a dog to complete my crazy-wonderful family, so I have to grab any spare moment of quiet that I can.
PBN: What are you reading right now (not at this very moment, but book/stories/poems
)?
KM: Stephen King’s 11/22/63. Before that, How to Save a Life by Sara Zarr. Both amazing.
PBN: What did you learn as a result of writing One Moment?
KM: That I am not in control of my characters. Okay, I knew this already, but these characters really drove the lesson home.
PBN: Do you have any pets? If so, what? If not, what would you like to have?
KM: I have a very sweet Bichon Frise named Gertie (I named her after Drew Barrymore’s character in ET). She’s my favorite writing companion . . . unless it’s springtime and she’s stalking squirrels in the yard, because then she becomes obsessive and constantly interrupts my writing time with the need to go outside and chase.
PBN: What’s your dream car?
KM: Something with lots of space for the kids and all their stuff . . . Oh, wait, my dream car? Okay, here goes. A car with a full-time driver who turns into a maid and/or a chef as soon as we return home. I’m visualizing a pewter-gray coloring (for the car, not the maid/chef) . . . do they come in that shade?

Great answers! Thank you so much, Kristina! I have to say that your dream car sounds awesome! I want one of those, too!
