Third Sentence Thursday (#49): The Red Queen

I am temporarily hosting Third Sentence Thursday while Sniffly Kitty takes a much-needed blog break. So, if you are new here, welcome! :-) The button (with code) is in the sidebar until Sniffly takes over again.

Third Sentence Thursday

Third Sentence Thursday is a weekly meme that likes to curl up with a good book and hot chocolate!

1) Take the book you are reading now and post the third sentence
2) Review this sentence anyway you want (funny and silly reviews encouraged)
3) Post a link to your sentence here (in the comments) or if you don’t have a blog, just post your sentence in the comments!

The Red QueenHere’s Mine:

But this is not my army calling for me, this whisper growing to a rumble is not their roar of attack, the drumming of their swords on shields. ~ The Red Queen by Philippa Gregory

Knowing what I know, this doesn’t really move me at all. LOL It’s part of a dream sequence (which is why it’s in italics), which is what the book opens with.

I don’t know – it sounds interesting! I think I saw this book at the book store the other day, but it was the second one in the series–they didn’t have the first one so I didn’t get it. I already have a few Philippa Gregory books I need to read, so maybe I’ll wait until I finish those ones!

Yes, it is second in a series, but so far I think they could be read out of order.
