E-Book Reading Challenge

I know, I know, 2011 is still in full swing. Still, it’s time to prepare for 2012. With that, at least here on the blog, comes things like planning tours, reviews, interviews, etc. And reading challenges.

In anticipation of this, I have created a Reading Challenges page, because I felt my sidebar was just getting TOO cluttered. All updates and such (starting with the 2012 challenges) will be made there. For now, the 2011 challenges (and corresponding buttons) are there. Challenges for 2012 will be added as I add them to my goals for next year.

And with that said, I’m announcing my first challenge: 2012 E-Book Reading Challenge hosted by The Eclectic Bookshelf. It runs from January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2012 – and it’s a Leap Year, so we get an extra day to do it! ;-)

2012 E-Book Challenge
Here are the rules:

  1. Anyone can join. You don’t need a blog to participate.  Create a post about the challenge and link your challenge post up in the linky.
Non-Bloggers: Post your list of books in the comment section of the wrap-up post.
  2. There are four levels:
    The Mini E-Book Challenge – Read 5 E-Books.
    The “Fun Size” E-Book Challenge – Read 10 E-Books.
    The Jumbo Size E-Book Challenge – Read 20 E-Books.
The Mega Size E-Book Reading Challenge – Read 25+ E-Books.
  3. No Audio or Print books.
  4. No need to list your books in advance. You may select books as you go. Even if you list them now, you can change the list if needed.
  5. The Challenge starts on January 1, 2012 and goes until December 31, 2012.

I am going to aim for “Fun Size” to start with – that’s a little less than one e-book per month, and I’m pretty sure I can do that. I reserve the right to move up a level if the need arises – but I really don’t think that’s gonna happen.

I will be joining this one also. I think I will be doing a Challenge page and taking them off my sidebar too. I am still deciding how I want that to look for next year.

My page is a work in progress. Every time I look at it, I tweak it. LOL Eventually, I’ll figure it out! ;-)
