Q = Quindlen
I have only read one of her novels (to date), but that is enough for me to know that Anna Quindlen is a FABULOUS author. Every Last One was probably the best novel I read last year, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. It was amazing. I was blindsided, and you will be, too. So. Well. Written. I don’t actually own it – yet – but I fully intend to. I still think about this book somewhat regularly, and every time I do it breaks my heart. Months after having finished it, I get an amazing emotional reaction just from thinking about the book, talking about the author, or seeing the cover. Such a good, good book. It tops my list of best book I’ve read ever. I even liked it more than The Time Traveler’s Wife and Water for Elephants … I never expected a book to surpass The Time Traveler’s Wife. So good. So very, very good!

And that, my dear readers, is all I have for the letter Q. I wish I had more, but I’m happy to get to share this one. It really is a fabulous, fabulous book.

Wow! This is such a powerful recommendation! Anna Quindlen doesn’t write the sort of books I usually read, but now you want to make me bust out of my comfort zone and try one of her books–preferably Every Last One.
And the blindsiding must be really, really good, if you can mention it here and in your review and not worry that you’ve spoiled it for us!
I’m pretty sure that mentioning just being blindsided isn’t enough to spoil it. It’s so shocking. I got so caught up in her day-to-day life that I just completely forgot about the promised shock! (It is referenced in the synopsis.)
