Authors from A to Z Update

First and Foremost:

This is NOT a reading challenge. It is a POSTING challenge. It occurred to me the other day that there might be some confusion about that. So, don’t worry about reading for this challenge at all. Just share your favorite authors! I’m scheduling as many posts in advance as I can manage, so that this isn’t too stressful.

Anyway … the point of this post is to remind everyone that my Authors from A to Z Challenge is nearly here. It’s scheduled for the month of June. One letter in one post every day, except Sundays. Take them off! I gotta tell you, I am EXCITED. And I’ll tell you why in a moment.

My Plan:

Most days, I plan to share three of my favorite authors that fit the letter of the day. (For example, for the letter “S” I could talk about Steinbeck, Shakespeare, and Mary Shelley. I’m not gonna, because most people have heard of all three, but hopefully this makes the point clear.)

For a few of the days, I have special posts lined up. I will be featuring guest posts from some of my favorite authors. I currently have two lined up:

• Josephine Angelini, author of the phenomenal Starcrossed (released on May 31)
• Michael J. Sullivan, author of the Riyria Revelations series, one of my favorite contemporary fantasy series, which was recently picked up by Orbit

I am in the process of contacting more authors to see if they’d like to participate. If you are an author and would like to be featured here either as a guest poster or with an interview, please contact me! I would love to include as many authors as possible. I especially need help with the following letters:

• E
• I
• J
• L
• Q
• U
• X
• Y
• Z

With the exception of “A” and “S,” all other letters are still available, too. If you want to participate, please contact me right away, as I am trying to get posts scheduled ahead of time. (I apologize for the late notice – I didn’t even think of having authors participate until a couple of days ago! LOL)
