Review: The Baby Bible Christmas Storybook

The Baby Bible Christmas StorybookThe Baby Bible Christmas Storybook by Robin Currie

Summary: The Baby Bible Storybook series offers a set of interactive teaching tools for parents to use with their children, from birth to three years old. The latest addition to this series, The Baby Bible Christmas Storybook, makes the birth of Jesus relevant for very young children through the use of colorful pictures, basic prayer and worship, and fun physical activities. It is never too early to introduce the truth of God’s Word to children, and the Christmas Storybook will enhance a child’s earliest experience of this very special family celebration.

My Thoughts: This is an excellent Christmas book for young children. The illustrations are colorful and very nice, and the familiar story of Jesus’ birth is told in a very simple way. It is easy for even really young children to understand the basic premise of His birth. Included are suggestions for hand motions to help bring the story to life, and prayers at the end of each page. Most prayers are thanksgiving to God for the many blessings and things He’s done for us. I think that is fabulous, as it’s never too early to begin cultivating a thankful heart. At the very end, in the inside back cover, there are more ways to help your children really think about this story. Compare Jesus’ family to your own, visit a petting zoo and talk about Jesus arriving amongst animals, sing Christmas carols. This book is the perfect addition to a young child’s Christmas library.

My Rating: 3.5 stars
